Marketing Director

World Finer Foods

This is a Contract position in Bloomfield, NJ posted March 24, 2020.

Our Company : World Finer Foods is a full service sales, marketing and distribution company for food, beverage and personal care brands.

With $200 million in annual sales, World Finer Foods sells over 60 brands and over 1000 products from around the world.

Brands in the World Finer Foods portfolio include: Reese specialty foods, Bonne Maman preserves, Colman’s English mustard, Familia Swiss cereals, Jules Destrooper cookies, Manuka Doctor honey, and Wellington crackers.

The brands within the World Finer Foods portfolio generally fall into one of two classifications, several of which are new/emerging brands within the specialty and natural foods industry:
· 3rd party imported and domestic brands (non-owned)
· Owned-Brands This role is for one of the two brand portfolios within our total 3rd party brand portfolio, representing just over half of the company’s revenue.

Job Description : The Marketing Director is responsible for managing a team of 4-5 marketing managers with a portfolio of 15-20 third party brands.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:
· Lead annual and strategic plan development for brand portfolio.

Provide strategic leadership in prioritization and allocation of portfolio resources.

· Actively manage P&L for brand portfolio to ensure margin integrity.

· Supervise development and execution of profitable sales and marketing related programs for brand portfolio.

· Lead pricing, promotion and channel strategy recommendations for brand portfolio, and lead cost model and brand profitability assessments.

· Collaborate with 3rd party brand owners to manage the new product innovation funnel for brand portfolio and partner in assessing new brands for the total company portfolio, which also may include market research activities and studies.

· Establish productive relationships/partner with 3rd party brand owners/clients and with the Sales team to deliver results on designated brands.

· Manage client contracts.

· Take an active role on Extended Leadership Team and lead cross functional task forces to drive top and bottom line growth.

· Lead/coach/train team of 4-5 managers to achieve business goals and develop, retain and/or source talent accordingly.

· Other duties as determined by management.

Skills and Experience : The ideal candidate will have experience in classic CPG consumer marketing, including knowledge of Trade Marketing (especially promotion evaluation), digital marketing and new product development.

In addition, the person should demonstrate a proven track-record delivering both top and bottom line results.

The individual should be able to work both autonomously and in a cross-functional team environment and proactively deliver business solutions.

Significant interaction with, and presentations to, third party brand owners, cross functional teams and the sales organization is required.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment and will bring a positive attitude to the team.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a resource-lean environment, and must demonstrate the ability to both “lead AND do”.

· Strong computer (Microsoft Office Suite) skills
· Ability to travel up to 10% Experience:
· Minimum of 10-12 years of marketing experience (Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience preferred) Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree is required
· Master’s Degree (MBA) is preferred Position reports to Vice President of Marketing.

Position is full time, exempt and is available immediately.
