Inside Sales Account Manager Location: Cedar Knolls, NJ preferred Summary We are seeking an inside sales account manager who can help to successfully drive sales growth in OLI’s transactional business segment in targeted vertical industries, while positioning OLI as a trusted solutions provider for the process modeling and simulation needs of our clients.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, adaptable and technology savvy self-starter with some expertise in process modeling software applications and inside sales experience in process industries and offers potential for rapid career advancement.

Our portfolio of products and services for water chemistry-based process modeling is used by engineers in over 35 countries across 500 organizations including enterprises, research organizations and academia to optimize process design across oil & gas, power generation, metals & mining, water treatment and chemicals industries.

Why We Need You OLI is significantly under-penetrated in terms of our market opportunity with the potential to grow our business substantially in all regions of the world and in the vertical industries that we serve.

We have developed a very successful inside sales approach to support small and medium sized clients, and we need to scale this portion of our business with additional transactional sales capacity to identify, qualify and close small and medium sized opportunities while ensuring a high-quality client experience.

In this role, you will:
· Build from a strong base of loyal customers and work to develop these accounts by gaining an understanding of their needs while simultaneously devising creative acquisition strategies to drive new customer relationships to OLI.

· Clearly articulate OLI’s value proposition, key differentiators and solutions to successfully position OLI as the preferred water chemistry-based process modeling solutions provider.

· Identify and qualify sales opportunities including existing client renewals.

· Qualify marketing leads and convert them into sales opportunities and creatively identify expansion opportunities for existing clients.

· Focus on achieving OLI’s revenue objectives, delivering consistent new business while growing existing business.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Account Management : Proactively manage a large volume of transactional accounts including both new opportunities and renewals for existing clients.

Communicate the OLI value proposition effectively by understanding industrial process modeling technologies and the problems that OLI’s solutions address.

Client Interaction : Demonstrate effective selling and presentation techniques to identify and qualify opportunities and influence clients.

Build relationships with key client stakeholders in management, IT, procurement and engineering.

Share client insights back to OLI teams to enhance the quality of the client experience and identify future development possibilities.

Opportunity Pipeline : Receive and follow up on inbound leads and online evaluations for prospective clients.

Renew and grow OLI solutions within existing accounts with targeted expansions.

Revenue Attainment : Prepare quotes, negotiate contracts with business terms and conditions and engage with procurement and IT teams to close opportunities.

Client Success : Partner with OLI’s technical consultants and applications engineers to ensure that clients receive the appropriate technical guidance, service and support across all phases of the client relationship from new client acquisition to retention.

Sales Operations and Metrics : Actively support the operations team to track and measure performance of leads and sales opportunities, create accurate sales forecasts and develop operational sales performance dashboards.

Requirements: Education Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related science or engineering discipline is required.

A strong educational background in the application of chemical engineering and chemistry principles to industrial process modeling and simulation is required.

Experience Extensive direct interaction with client personnel Some B2B sales and business development experience is preferred Familiarity with proposal preparation and presentation, quotes, contracts and procurement processes Familiarity with project management principles; process driven Some marketing lead generation and lead management in B2B Skills & Attributes Passion for science, technology, the OLI business and the success of OLI’s clients Strong desire to solve problems and help clients achieve their objectives Ability to learn on the fly and successfully adapt to change A positive attitude, personal integrity, highly disciplined and organized Results-oriented person with the ability to consistently perform at a high level Team oriented, self-starter who can work independently and is willing to be coached in a collaborative manner to achieve team goals Strong analytic ability combined excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
