PMO Strategy/Operations Lead

This is a Full-time position in Denville, NJ posted March 30, 2020.

Leading international consumer goods organization in Morris County is in need of a PMO Strategy and Operations Lead to join their company in a contract to hire arrangement.

This role will start as a contract and convert to permanent hire between 90 and 180 days.

Reporting directly to the CIO of their North American operations, you will lead the implementation of a PMO process and spearhead project governance initiatives.

This role is responsible for establishing the PMO as a center of excellence, promoting collaboration and communication within different pillars in the organization.

Provides standardized templates, tools and techniques for end to end management of projects Leads project quality and post-mortem functions to mitigate and address project delivery challenges in the support of continuous improvement efforts.

Collaborates with Clients, Practice Directors, and Delivery Teams to define timeframes, deliverables and staffing levels and ensures expectations are met according to success criteria.

Prepares regular, thorough and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership on project and team performance.

Ensures adherence to practices, procedures, precedents, policy and Executive Leadership direction.

Manages individual programs as needed.

Plays a leadership role for the project team in driving the project from start-to-end to ensure the outlined goals and objectives mentioned in the charter are achieved and the success factors are met Your background should include most of the following Strong understanding of and experience in establishing, and deploying Program Management Office Governance processes.

10 years of experience primarily in project management for a large global organization.

Self-directed, polished professional who can work in a fast paced, results driven environment.

Proven ability to estimate task duration for all project resources Ability to identify and close issues quickly and effectively Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills Financial acumen to understand and articulate business value for complex Projects, Programs or other initiatives.

Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience.
