Attractive benefits package, includingMedical, Dental, & Vision401(k) with company contribution2 Week Paid PTO/Vacation (after 1 year)Tremendous Career Advancement Opportunities due to a strong presence across North AmericaA great work environment!Lead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic major responsibilities:Diagnoses and performs all phases of vehicle maintenance and repair.Removes, cleans, repairs, reinstalls, and adjusts vehicle components (Engine Emission Components, Driveline Components, Electrical/Electronic Components, Brakes/Suspension/Steering/Exhaust, Cab/Chassis, and Hydraulics). Schedules and administers fleet maintenance.

Communicates availability of vehicles for service with maintenance managersSupervises maintenance operations.

Plans and distributes the work.

Delegates responsibilities as appropriate and monitors performance. Ensuring work orders are completed accurately using the First Transit INFOR Maintenance SystemEvaluates completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required.Performs road calls and emergency services as necessary.Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.Communicates professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.Actively participates in safety or educational training as required.Completes special projects as assigned.Completes ASE certificationsLead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic requirements:Technician training/vocational school degree preferred4-7 years of automotive repair experience required; industrial fleet experience preferred Valid CDL, Class A or B with Passenger & Airbrake Endorsements, Highly PreferredPrevious lead / supervisory experienceGood written and oral communication skillsStrong computer skillsMust have an appropriate mechanic’s tool setASE certifications strongly preferred.
