Inpatient Psychiatrist – 30 Min from Philly

This is a Contract position in Burlington, NJ posted July 27, 2020.

CFG has an opening for a Psychiatrist in Burlington, NJ. This is a full-time position working on an inpatient unit with a growing hospital system listed on Philadelphia Business Journal’s list of “Best Places to Work” in 2019.


Burlington is located on the Rt. 130 Corridor/Burlington County River Route near Interstate 295, County Rt. 541, the Burlington Bristol Bridge, and the NJ and PA turnpikes, making it very easily accessible. Burlington is home to numerous antique shops, coffee shops, fine dining with American and International cuisines, and a historic downtown. It’s a great location and is within driving distance to Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, NYC, the Poconos, and the shore, making it great for day trips.

  • Provision of full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients. 
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.
  • Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders .
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
  • Participates in treatment team activities to include the development and periodic review of patient treatment plans and will take necessary steps when a patient refuses treatment.
  • Provides crisis intervention training to staff.
  • Participates in unit morning reports (at relevant sites).
  • Subject to on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Must be licensed as a psychiatrist in the state of New Jersey. 
  • Must be board certified within five (5) years of completing residency and must maintain certification.
  • Experience in providing services in inpatient/outpatient environment. 
  • Must possess good interpersonal communication and leadership skills. 
  • Must complete a satisfactory background investigation.
