We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.LPNSchedule per week: Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 11:00pm (Every other weekend required)Location: Paterson, NJJob Specific Responsibilities and Duties:* Assists the Registered Nurse.* Telephone/Walk-in screenings* Dispensing medications to Detox clients and residential clients as per doctors order.* Recording Doctors written orders on the medication sheet.* Ordering prescribed medication from the pharmacy.* Answering and monitoring calls, in house and outside calls properly.* Reports all problems as well as concerns to the RN on duty.* Count controlled dangerous substances and record.* Maintain par levels on all stock medications.* Maintain syringe count on a per Straight and Narrow policy and procedure* Maintaining documentation in nurses notes.* Attending all scheduled nurses meetings and in-services.* Interview clients upon admission, obtaining information on medical history and substance abuse history for RN assessment notes.* Maintains a safe environment for all clients and is familiar with disaster and fire drills* Follow up with medical slip issues* Participates in discharge planning in conjunction with RN and the counselor.* Other duties as assignedQualifications:Graduate from an approved School of Nursing; Medical/Surgical experience; Current license as an LPN in the state of NJ. Knowledge of transcribing doctors orders is essential.
