Residential Loan Officer

1st Colonial Community Bank

This is a Contract position in Woodcrest, NJ posted March 29, 2020.

The Residential Real Estate Loan Officer will be responsible for supporting the marketing, business development, and loan origination goals of the Residential Loan Department. The candidate’s primary focus will be to facilitate profitable and efficient origination of residential real estate loans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Engages in business development activities and solicitation of new mortgage lending opportunities Follows up on leads generated by personal effort, regular contact from within the industry, call-in/walk-in inquiries, in addition to the support enhancements from Bank advertising, and direct mail efforts Originates and manages pipeline of new residential mortgage loans and related products Guides customers through the loan application process Gathers and analyzes all information necessary for approval; meets with existing or potential customers; conducts site visits when necessary and discusses loan terms and conditions with customers Corresponds or re-interviews applicants to resolve questions regarding application information Builds relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process Apprises borrower of pricing and rate lock as required Coordinates processing of approved loans; ensures loans are processed according to agreement Resolves issues relative to processing and servicing of loans within his or her portfolio Monitors loans for compliance with terms and conditions Operates in compliance with state laws and federal regulations and adheres to lending compliance guidelines and credit policies Maximizes bank profitability through appropriate pricing of loan originations, fee income, and selling of all bank products and services Maintains working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, and the Bank’s products and services Cross-sells other Bank products and services to established cross-sale targets including checking accounts, savings accounts and home equity loans/lines. Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with title companies, contractors, builders, appraisers, real estate agents and other real estate industry professionals Satisfies all NMLS requirements (training, testing and background check) · Perform additional job duties as assigned JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have proven track record in business development Experience with real estate transactions and advanced knowledge of real estate loan processing An in-depth background in residential lending, including: soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and closing of residential loans Experience originating FHA, VA and conventional loans Strong business development and credit risk assessment skills Exceptional organizational and time management skills Maintains a continuing knowledge of changes in banking law and regulation Strong knowledge of relevant computer software skills, such as Word and Excel Must have outstanding influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to quickly forge strong working relationships JOB TYPE: Full-time EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in residential lending with a financial institution or mortgage banking company. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, fingers and talk, hear and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee must have the ability to verbally effectively communicate with staff and customers. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to stay alert and attentive at all times and operate a computer, phone and essential equipment as required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
