Brand Manager


This is a Contract position in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ posted March 8, 2020.

The Brand Manager will serve as the leader in execution of product initiatives that delivers the USA regions growth target across volume, profit, and share.

S/He will provide support and guidance to the business’ long term strategy and annual planning cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Lead the execution of consumer communication strategy for cough drops Assist in the development and execute integrated consumer communication strategy Maximize media ROI by working seamlessly with agency partners ensuring creative deliverables across media is integrated, updated, and optimized Monitor in-market results and make adjustments whenever needed and possible.

Closely collaborate with trade marketing and sales team to deliver fully-integrated communication to drive sales during peak sell-in windows Formulate creative brief for specific initiatives Manage US Forecasting and Influence Total Company P&L Lead the development of a 12 -18 month demand plan/forecast and align with Sales, Operations and Finance on an annual basis and then a monthly basis as the year actualizes.

Help mitigate risks to the forecast through contingency planning and identify opportunities to deliver beyond the forecast.

Formulate, track and report household penetration for the brand and competition.

Oversee the marketing budgeting process, ensuring initiatives are supported sufficiently, expenses are correctly charged and budget is not overspent.

Assist in creating the short and long term strategy for USA In conjunction with the Senior Brand Manager and other cross functional teams, including agency partners, lead development of annual situation analysis using multiple sources of data (syndicated, POS), four P’s assessments and consumer insights that will guide the strategies of the following year.

Analyze sales and consumer data, inclusive of competitive and category, which lead to actionable insights.

Partner with consumer insights expert to generate key insights, measurement of programs, and influence business strategy Be a Strong Contributor to RICOLA NORAM Understand and demonstrate intentional based leadership behaviors as a team player & leader.

Create a high performing culture within team and with cross functional partners.

Insure alignment to common goals, full achievement of synergies and leverage in resource deployment to consistently achieve superior business results Manage agencies and influence teams cross functionally REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 3 years experience, preferably in CPG industry Previous forecasting experience and utilization of syndicated data (IRI/Neilsen) highly desired BS/BA required, MBA a plus Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities Attention to detail with a strong bias for action Outstanding project management skills Strong relationship management skills and team player skills
