Director, Program Management, Business Systems Job Summary The Director, Program Management, Business Systems is responsible for leading global strategic transformational programs in Clinical Development, established for the purpose of gaining operational efficiencies and increased compliance, achieved through process excellence and innovative technology.

In this role, this person will partner with company leaders to identify expected business outcomes, establish the program governance and strategy, lead and direct cross-functional global teams and serve as the primary escalation point from inception to delivery.

Essential Functions Stakeholder Management Partners with key internal and external stakeholders in business functions and Information Technology Department to establish program vision, strategy and objectives, expected business outcomes, critical success factors, governance model and program structure.

Ensures the Program is aligned with business priorities through regular dialogue with relevant stakeholders and the Program Steering Committee.

Maintains a trusted relationship with Program Sponsor, Steering Committee and project team members.

Program Strategy, Governance and Planning Develops and maintains program charter including the overall program scope and roadmap, individual projectswork-streams, key program roles and program team structure.

Lead the definition and design of a transformative business solution, leveraging a harmonized business process and best-in-class technology, which aligns to the program objectives.

Collaborate with other functions such as Procurement, Clinical Outsourcing, Finance, and HR to ensure that the program receives the expected support.

Develop a communication plan, which provides clarity and transparency to a global audience.

Regularly presents Program at Steering Committee, Executive-level and Functional committees, as well as Town Halls.

Leads, directs project managers to ensure the program has an integrated program plan, including identification of risk factors and dependencies.

May manage and lead direct reports including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and performance management.

Provide daily coaching and mentoring to staff (direct reports and project teams).

Identify development opportunities and align to career objectives.

Highlight strengths and reward successes.

Deliver Program Escalates issues appropriately when any issues which cannot be resolved in the project.

Leads and manages daily program execution throughout the program lifecycle.

Leads development of integrated project plan prepared by project manages to track progress.

Ensures adherence to quality standards and GxP regulations.

Manages program resource allocation.

Tracks program and project deliverables.

Sets clear goals and provides guidance to project teams.

Acts as an escalation point for the program issues and risks.

Mitigate conflicts among business functions by communicating closely with them.

Manages risks and issues of program and projects, taking corrective measures when necessary by applying change, risk and resource management techniques associated with internal and external resources.

Coordinates cross-project activities.

Page 2 Leads and evaluates project managers and other staff.

Manages financial health of the program, ensuring program funding in partnership with Cost center managers and budget approvers.

Leads the review of vendor contracts, SLAs and overall vendor performance.

Ensures the identification and allocation of internal and external resources for the program.

Requirements Bachelor s degree in the field of biological sciences, computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in managing complex programs in healthcarepharmaceutical industry.

Minimum of 12 years work experience with pharmaceuticalCRO experience in Clinical Development.

Knowledge Experience Proven track record of successfully managed complex, global and transformational programs in health care pharmaceutical industry.

Ability to build strong partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders and hold oneself and others accountable for commitments in a productive and collaborative manner.

Self-starter, driven, and ability to come up to speed quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Strong relationship management skills and a focus on cross-functional collaboration and customer service.

General understanding of the FDA, EMA, ICH and other guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.

General understanding of Clinical Research and drug development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications and high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Project.

Business acumen ability to see the big picture and work tactically to progress complex projects.

Strong business analysis skills and experience, including development of businessIT vision and strategy, requirements definition, process modeling, and operating model design.

Solid systems orientation with a thorough familiarity of emerging technologies such as social media, cloud computing, mobility, and big data and its applicability to the corporate and commercial solution area.

Strong problem-solving ability through insightful solutions, which address complex issues.

Ability to dissect root cause of issues creating the best solution for considering quality, cost, and speed requirements.

Strong technical knowledge of systems and applications within the applicable functional business area.

Strong understanding of applicable business function including principles, practices, and procedure.PandoLogic.
