Packaging Project Manager

Ref ID: 02710-9502504579 Classification: Project Manager Compensation: $40.00 to $45.00 hourly Develops and manages project timetables and plans Interprets client needs and builds technical specifications and ensures compliance with guidelines and factory capabilities Develops, communicates, and monitors milestones against the project timeline and identifies potential delays to all stakeholders including sales, client(s), and internal groups Tracks and optimizes all aspects of development on new projects with customer, factory and sales person o Prepare accurate pre-production letters, sales order worksheets and any other relevant paperwork o Receive required approvals throughout the development cycle and final production from customers to enter new orders o Maintain daily communication with factories and customers during office hours with flexibility to be on-call to support a global manufacturing model (time zone) o Complete and send sample requests to factories/customers o Submit artwork for approval by customer o Maintain active project boxes (i.e.

retains that a customer might send for color, item matching, pre-production Samples from factory, approvals, running Production Sample (RPS) from factory of all orders sent, on-going project(s) o Request drawings from Engineering o Review samples prior to submitting to customers o Submit samples for new projects to customers o Pull samples from the sample lab o Manage items within NetSuite o Tracking and maintaining reports on all open projects Participates in-person client meetings to provide updates and/or technical support for future and positively support client relationships Works with sales representative to prepare corresponding sales materials related to new project development or project updates Troubleshoots and collaborates with stakeholders and internal partners to resolve client issues, minimize delays and recommends solutions Leads open order report calls with clients if needed Ensure Order Acknowledgements are sent within 48 hours to customers Provide Tracking Reports through the portal or manually based on customer’s needs Coordination and processing of all quoting activities Create quotes and verify approval for quoting Request price bids from suppliers and validate cost Calculate shipping, duties, import and export fees associated with the quotation Generate customer sales quotation by following company pricing guidelines Record and file all associated documentation backup Audit incoming sales order requests to ensure all required documentation is included Verify the accuracy of all documentation and ensure all necessary approvals are in place Validate customer purchase and supplier pricing Input both customer and supplier orders into NetSuite with a high level of detail including: customer and supplier pricing, item specifications, packaging specifications, quality requirements, production approvals, shipping marks, and shipping schedules Review orders processed by other team members Send authorized purchase orders to supplier and file hard copies in purchase order binders Account Management: Respond to all day to day inquiries from the Sales, Traffic, Engineering, and Management Team in a timely fashion Negotiate pricing for independent projects and/or global items Create and maintain customer pricing lists as directed by the Sales Team and/or Management to apply directly, send resume and cover letter to Job Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in project management in consumer products, manufacturing or supply chain management 2 years of technical experience in the cosmetic manufacturing industry 3 years in customer service role Project management experience, maintaining timetables and coordinating stakeholders and internal groups Detailed oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills Teamwork oriented by putting success of team above own interests Able to manage and positively influence difficult or emotional customer situations while responding promptly to customer needs Ability to provide an excellent client presence and exhibit a passion for cosmetics Troubleshooting, gathers information skillfully and develops alternative solutions when needed Adapts to changes in the work environment while managing complex demands Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Ability to interpret and apply relevant federal regulations, technical specification requirements of customers, and evaluate factory capabilities Highly proficient in MS Office products with an emphasis on excel to apply directly, send resume and cover letter to The Creative Group (TCG), a Robert Half company, matches creative, digital and marketing professionals with some of the best companies on a freelance, project or direct-hire basis.
