One of the industry leaders in the corn tortilla and tortilla chip equipment industry, JC Ford is seeking a dynamic, hands on Planning Manager.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s production planning, production execution & efficiency, sourcing, inventory management, & shipping. Managing a team of 16, the Planning Manager works cross-functionally to improve the productivity and efficiency of operations to meet customer requirements and commitments. Using tools such as lean, and well designed and implemented business processes, the Planning Manager enables repeatable results in production, warehouse management, and cost control. Success in the role is determined by on time performance, cycle time, inventory carry cost, cost reduction, and the length of the tail of each business process, monitored weekly. Specific Responsibilities Include:Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategyDevelop key KPI’s and drive continuous improvementCollaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Sales teamsIdentify process bottlenecks and implement solutions that eliminate repeat events Train and evaluate performance of personnelDevelop cross-functional business solutions and processesWork with Engineering and operations to identify qualified vendorsEstablish strategic procurement partnerships and drive cost reduction initiativesImprove use of the ERP system effectivenessDevelops workable implementation plansCommunicates changes effectively; Builds commitment and overcomes resistance; Prepares and supports those affected by change; Monitors transition and evaluates results.Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.Works within approved budget; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources.Prioritize & plans work activities through the use of efficient time management.Plans for additional resources; Sets goals & objectives; Organizes or schedules other people & their tasks.Education:Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from four-year college or universityAIPCs certification recommendedExperience and Background:7+ years of Production Control / Planning/ Scheduling work experience.Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data-driven, detail-oriented, approach.Analytical ability to prepare performance reports, cost/price analyses, and other performance measures.Displays willingness to make timely decisions; Exhibits sound & accurate judgment; Supports & explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.Accepts responsibility for actions; Follows through on commitments.Strategic Thinking Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization’s strengths & weaknesses; Identifies external threats and opportunities; Adapts strategy to changing conditions.Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.Analytical ability to prepare reports and other performance measures.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively.Proven ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.Possess ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status
