Program Manager


This is a Contract position in Middlesex County, NJ posted March 24, 2020.

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all projects across the Financial Services practice providing leadership to individual project managers and engaging key clients as a client partner on their deliverable. The individual will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risks associated with each projectclient. The individual will also be responsible for discovering new opportunities with clients and working with salespeople to close on new projects with existing clients. This person will need to work with clients, partners, project managers, internal team members throughout the life cycle of application development and support. The Program Manager will coordinate and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and scope. The candidate will work directly with clients and manage their expectations. This position requires proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes across geographies. The position also requires the individual to have software development and development life-cycle experience and the ability to coordinate and work with global teams in different time zones. The individual may also be responsible for business analysis functions to define project requirements time to time. Essential Job Functions Manage the PMO for the Financial Services (FS) vertical. Manage the relationship with all FS clients and all stakeholders Manage customer needs and requirements and work with the internal PMs, SMEs and Delivery leads. Manage geographically dispersed teams Time to time get involved with business analysis and define project requirements. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as internal team members Manage scope changes, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Risk management to minimize project risks Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Identify cross up-selling opportunities Prepare report on project performance and update all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) Develop and formalize the PMO practice Required Education, Skills and Experience 10 years experience in managing software projects in Private Equity Hedge Funds Capitals markets or Mortgage and Lending or Payments Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field 8 years of IT and businessindustry work experience 5 years of leadership experience Experience managing both internal team and external consultants to deliver planned initiatives with strong project and program management discipline Customer satisfaction and continuous improvement mind-set Exposure to designdevelopment of software using Microsoft technologies. Past experience working with global dispersed offshore teams is desirable.
